Custom Jewellery

 1. How to Place a Custom Order

Custom orders may be requested through:

  • Our Contact Form
  • Email
  • WhatsApp

When submitting a request, please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • a description of the desired design.
  • preferred materials or colours.
  • approximate dimensions or measurements (where applicable).
  • photographs, sketches, or inspiration images (optional).

The more information you provide, the more accurately we can prepare your custom design.

2. Design Approval

Before production begins, all important details of the custom order will be confirmed in writing.

These may include:

  • design;
  • materials;
  • colours;
  • dimensions;
  • estimated production time;
  • final price.

Production begins only after:

  • written approval of the design; and
  • receipt of the required deposit.

3. Pricing & Payment

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins.

The remaining balance must be paid before the completed item is shipped or collected.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Credit or Debit Card (in-store)
  • Cash (in-store)
  • PayPal
  • IRIS Payments

All prices are shown in Euro (€).

4. Production Time

The standard production time for custom orders is generally between 5 and 20 business days, unless otherwise agreed.

Production times may vary depending on:

  • design complexity;
  • material availability;
  • seasonal demand;
  • current workload.

Estimated production times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

If unexpected circumstances arise that significantly affect production, JULS Art & School will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible and discuss an appropriate solution.

5. Changes to an Approved Design

Before production begins, customers may request minor changes to an approved design where reasonably possible.

Requests for significant changes, including changes to:

  • design;
  • materials;
  • size;
  • colours;
  • style;
  • overall concept,

may require:

  • a revised quotation;
  • additional production time;
  • additional materials;
  • or the creation of a new custom order.

Once production has begun, changes may no longer be possible.

If changes can still be accommodated after production has started, additional charges and extended production times may apply.

All requested changes must be confirmed in writing via email or WhatsApp before becoming part of the order.

6. Order Cancellation

A custom order may be cancelled before production begins.

If production has not started, any deposit paid will be refunded.

Once production has started, the 50% deposit becomes non-refundable, as materials may have been purchased and work may already have commenced.

7. Customer Inactivity

If the customer does not respond to requests for design approval, additional information or confirmation for 30 calendar days, the custom order may be considered cancelled.

If production has not yet begun, any deposit paid will be refunded in accordance with this Policy.

If production has already begun, the deposit remains non-refundable.

8. Materials & Natural Variations

Many of our creations incorporate natural materials such as gemstones, freshwater pearls, shells, wood and other naturally sourced elements.

Because these materials are unique by nature, slight variations in:

  • colour;
  • shape;
  • size;
  • texture;
  • pattern;
  • natural markings,

are normal and expected.

These characteristics make every handmade piece unique and are not considered defects.

Natural variations do not constitute grounds for a return, exchange or refund.

9. Customer Measurements

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements where required.

If a custom item is produced according to the measurements supplied by the customer, it will not be considered defective if the measurements later prove to be incorrect.

Where technically possible, resizing or adjustments may be offered for an additional charge.

10. Colours & Product Photography

We make every reasonable effort to display colours as accurately as possible.

However, actual colours may vary slightly due to:

  • screen settings;
  • lighting conditions;
  • photography;
  • the natural characteristics of the materials used.

Minor colour variations do not constitute a defect.

11. Reference Images & Intellectual Property

Customers may provide photographs, sketches or reference images as inspiration.

By submitting such materials, the customer confirms that they have the right to use them.

Reference images are used solely for inspiration.

Every custom piece created by JULS Art & School is an original handmade interpretation and may differ from any reference materials provided.

We do not intentionally reproduce copyrighted or protected designs.

JULS Art & School reserves the right to refuse any custom order that, in our reasonable opinion, may infringe the intellectual property rights of another designer, artist or brand.

12. Ownership of Design

Upon full payment, ownership of the completed jewellery passes to the customer.

However, all intellectual property rights relating to:

  • original design concepts;
  • sketches;
  • drawings;
  • photographs;
  • artistic elements;
  • and other creative materials produced by JULS Art & School

remain the exclusive property of JULS Art & School, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

13. Portfolio & Photography

Unless otherwise agreed, JULS Art & School reserves the right to photograph completed custom-made pieces and use these photographs on:

  • our website;
  • social media platforms;
  • portfolio;
  • promotional materials.

No personal information about the customer will ever be published without prior consent.

If a customer specifically requests that a custom design remain private, we will respect that request.

14. Material Availability

Occasionally, specific materials may become unavailable after an order has been confirmed.

If this happens, JULS Art & School will contact the customer promptly to discuss suitable alternatives.

No substitutions will be made without the customer’s agreement.

If no suitable alternative can be agreed before production begins, the customer may cancel the order and receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

If production has already begun, both parties will work together to find the most appropriate solution.

15. Rush Orders

Rush orders may be accepted depending on:

  • current workload;
  • production schedule;
  • material availability.

Acceptance of rush orders is entirely at the discretion of JULS Art & School.

Additional charges and revised production schedules may apply.

16. Gift Wrapping & Presentation

Gift wrapping is available upon request.

Complimentary gift wrapping is included for custom orders with a total value of €120 or more.

For orders below €120, gift wrapping is available for an additional fee of €5 per order.

Gift wrapping styles may vary depending on:

  • seasonal collections;
  • the nature of the product;
  • packaging availability.

Presentation may include Christmas, Easter, summer, coastal or other seasonal themes.

Whenever possible, photographs of available gift wrapping options may be provided before the order is completed.

JULS Art & School reserves the right to select the most suitable gift packaging for each order while maintaining the quality and presentation of the finished product.

17. Unclaimed Orders

Completed custom orders must be collected or shipped within 60 calendar days after the customer has been notified that the order is ready.

If a completed custom order remains unclaimed after 60 calendar days, despite reasonable attempts to contact the customer, the order will be considered abandoned.

Any payments already made, including the deposit, are non-refundable.

JULS Art & School reserves the right to dispose of or otherwise deal with the completed item at its discretion.

18. Communication

All important communications relating to custom orders, including:

  • design approvals;
  • order confirmations;
  • requested changes;
  • production updates;
  • payment confirmations,

must be made in writing via:

  • Email; or
  • WhatsApp.

Written communication helps ensure that both the customer and JULS Art & School have a clear record of the agreed order details.
